Fall Fishing
This is the time of year that the fish prepare for the winter. The fish in the rivers are eating as much as they can to get them through the winter. The yellowstone and Rock Creek are producing fish with Dry dropper rigs. Also, streamers are working on the more aggressive fish. The stillwaters are getting cold but the fish don't seem to mind. Buggers in various colors have been enticing some of the big rainbows. Dry-dropper rigs are the ticket for this time of year. Hoppers, PMX's, Chernobyl ants and Fat Alberts have been working on top. Droppers would include: Prince nymphs, zug bugs, light and dark chironomids, scuds and midges.
